Y Stabl nestles at the foot of the Garn Goch an iron-age hillfort in the small village of Bethlehem. Once a farm outbuilding, this particular conversion by local architect and artist Donald Jones, is exceptional and certainly has the WOW factor with exposed wooden beams, high ceilings and unique designs throughout. Recently graded 5-star by Visit Wales, this property is an ideal place for holiday reunions with family and friends while appreciating the beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Ground Floor:
A fully-equipped kitchen with two ovens, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher makes cooking easy. Washing machine/dryer and separate sink can be found in an adjacent utility room. Leading off the kitchen is a twin-bedroom that has been specifically designed for disabled guests with spacious en-suite bathroom and own exterior entrance.
An impressive dining room with large table seats up to 12 and even has its own pulpit for after-dinner speeches. The cosy living room has a log-burner, leather seating, flat screen TV/DVD player, CD/radio cassette. French doors lead to both the front lawn and rear patio. A double bedroom with en-suite facilities is situated next door.
Heated by geo-thermal technology, the slate flooring on the ground floor is never cold. Solar panels heat the constant supply of hot water.
First Floor:
Three separate stairways lead to the three first floor bedrooms. The first stairway from the kitchen leads to a large twin bedroom. Climbing to the pulpit takes you to the second upstairs twin bedroom. Third stairway from the living room leads to a double bedroom. All bedrooms are fully tiled en-suite with over the bath shower and have high quality wooden floorboards.
All ground floor rooms have exterior access to a paved path surrounding the property. The front lawn is an ideal place to watch swooping red kites and the rear patio catches the afternoon sun.
Ample private parking behind the property. Outside shed provides space for fishing and other outdoor equipment.
All cottages are fully equipped and furnishings are new or antique. Patio furniture and portable barbecues are available. Free logs and a welcome pack provided on arrival. High chair and Travel cot available on request.
